Greenville Development Code

Following the adoption of GVL2040, Greenville’s new comprehensive plan, the City has undertaken a project to write a new development code that aligns with the plan and addresses issues related to development across the community.

    Staff established three specialized working groups to advise them: neighborhood leaders, design professionals and developers.

    Project Test Locations

    The City began identifying area representatives who will help guide code testing in five locations: Augusta-Mauldin-Pleasantburg, Stone and Main district, Greater Sullivan neighborhood, McAlister Square and North Laurens Road.

Code Connection: ONLINE PROJECT UPDATES

The City will host monthly online events, where the project team will provide updates and answer community members' questions. The sessions will be held on the second Wednesday of each month, except for January, when it will be held on the third Wednesday of the month.
